Biography
I am a historical linguist (historical / comparative Slavic linguistics, historical / comparative Indo-European linguistics) with additional interests in Slavic cultures, Slavic and Indo-European mythologies, and Russian cultural history. At the University of Chicago, I have taught classes in Slavic historical linguistics, Old Slavic languages (including Old Church Slavic and Old Russian), Indo-European linguistics, historical linguistics, histories of select Slavic languages, Old Russian literature, and history of Russian culture ("Russian Civilization").
