Biography

Hoyt Long is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations and the College. His research encompasses literature, media, platform studies, computational approaches to the study of culture, and generative AI. As deputy dean, Long oversees initiatives and planning around graduate education, cross-divisional research partnerships, artificial intelligence, language instruction, and midcareer faculty support.
